Dr. Reinert’s Credentials: Dr. Reinert earned a Ph.D. in Fisheries from the University of Georgia and has served as the Research Administrator for FWC’s Tequesta Field Laboratory since 2005. In addition, he is the field staff supervisor for the Manatee Rescue and Carcass Recovery program in FWC’s Marine Mammal subsection and a member of the LWLI Habitat Working Group.

Manatee 101 - An informational talk about manatees that can be adapted for any age or audience. The presentation can include pictures, brochures, manatee bones, tracking equipment, a display of a manatee rescue boat and various other equipment used in manatee rescue and research.
The MRRP presentation briefly discusses the problems with fishing line in the environment, fishing line recycling, and the goals of the program.
Availability: Day and some evenings. Weekdays and some weekends.
Technical Support Needs: Prefer to have projector and screen provided by requestor.
