Lake Worth Lagoon Legislative Funding Request

2019 Legislative Funding Request CLOSED

Since 1998, the Florida Legislature has appropriated more than $21 million towards Lake Worth Lagoon restoration. Legislative funds have been combined with matching funds to support over $82 million in restoration and water quality improvements to Lake Worth Lagoon. Palm Beach County will solicit project proposals to provide collaborative support for a stronger Lake Worth Lagoon Initiative (LWLI) legislative request, and to assist local municipalities' and special taxing districts' effort to improve water quality in the lagoon through projects such as habitat enhancement and restoration, storm water retrofits, or septic-to-sewer conversions to provide increased water quality and restoration opportunities in the lagoon.
